Best tour we were on during our trip in Alaska
The main reason for that was our guide Katt. She was amazingly knowledgeable and passionate about the area and even went off "scripted agenda" when she thought there was something we would be interested in seeing. She even stopped at friends of hers working on carving totem poles. That alone made the trip special. When we found out this was her first season, we were all astonished

Best excursion during our 9 Day Alaskan Cruise. Katt was an exceptional tour guide. Her knowledge and passion made the 4 hours just fly by. We didn’t want it to end. Besides bald eagles, we saw a black bear enjoying a field of dandelions, a brown bear quite up close and personal (no need to get off the bus), and some mountain goats.
It was a wonderful tour to experience Haines in its most natural way. Our tour guide Katt was knowledgeable, energetic, and helpful. We saw bears and bald eagles multiple times during the 2.5 hr tour. Highly recommend to anyone who loves wildlife and nature.
We are so glad that we booked this tour! Katt is an amazing guide. She is passionate about the wildlife here and did everything she could to get us the most wildlife viewings. We saw a bear and multiple bald eagles! She's great about slowing down or circling back so give all guests a chance to see the animals. She even helped us get great photos of an eagle with her spotting scope.
Kat H was a very knowledgeable tour guide and provided a lot of information about wildlife and Haines itself. She was able to provide a close (but safe) encounter with a black bear. She was so good in fact, it was like she knew what the bear was thinking. When I come back to Haines, I am definitely requesting to tour with Kat again.
Been on many wildlife tours, and Katt was one of the best guides. Unfortunately we were a week or two before bear season, so no bear. Love the touch of seeing both parts of the area, Chillkoot and Chillkat, and the monolens scope with pictures that Katt took. Would highly recommend the tour.
Katt is the best, most enthusiastic guide in all of Alaska! She truly made our trip memorable! Absolutely wonderful guide.
